Repairs & Maintenance

We aim to deliver a high standard of maintenance and repairs. Repairs procedures have been developed to ensure that repairs are carried out to a good standard, at a reasonable cost and within target timescales. When carrying out repairs we will work to cause the minimum inconvenience and nuisance as is reasonable in the circumstances.

Repairs will be carried out either by Govan HOME Team (the Association’s repairs and maintenance subsidiary) or by contractors from our approved contractors list.

You can report a common repair at your property by using the Reporting Tool.

You can also report repairs via the Associations office at 35 McKechnie Street, Glasgow, G51 3AQ; by writing to us; by telephone on 0141 440 0308 (selecting option 1 for repairs); or by visiting the office during opening hours. Please note that opening hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 08.30 to 12.30 on Wednesday; and 08.30 to 16.30 on Friday (except public holidays).

Do not use the reporting tool or email to report emergency repairs. Instead, please call the Association.

If the office is closed and you need to report an emergency repair, please contact our out of hours contractor on 0800 595 595.

Please note that if you report a non-emergency repair out of hours, the call out fee will be recharged to owners. Equally, if you report a non-communal repair out of hours, the call out fee will be recharged to you in full.

Emergency common repairs includes any common repair that is required to avoid serious damage to the building or is a risk to health and safety.

Examples of the type of common repairs that are considered emergencies are:

  • A burst water pipe
  • Blocked drains or pipes with sewage leaking out
  • Dangerous masonry, loose slates, chimney heads, etc.

If your building has communal heating that breaks down when the office is closed, please contact JAMES FREW Ltd on 01294 468 113.

If your building has a lift which breaks down when the office is closed, please contact KONE on 0800 6520692.
